SHRI RAMA MUNI REDDY SIRIGIREDDY (Andhra Pradesh) : Thank you, Mr. Vice-Chairman, Sir. I am grateful to you for giving me this opportunity to speak on the Railway Budget. There are so many drawbacks which need to be addressed by the Indian Railways to stay ahead in the world. Modernisation is one among them. Sir, modernisation should not be seen in isolation of the objective of capacity generation. In fact, modernisation is one of the best instruments for enhancing the capacity, deployment of powerful locomotives, better coaches, increasing the speed of goods trains, installing sophisticated signalling equipment for faster and .................
